HWIT Reporting

Home Watch Reporting Software with Photos & Videos

Give homeowners a clearer picture of every visit. Home Visit reports in HWIT Fundamentals combine your own checklists with photos and short videos, completed in the field and delivered to your client as soon as the visit is done.

The Report Is What Your Client Sees

Your clients are rarely at the property when you are. The Home Visit report is how they know the visit happened, what you checked, and whether anything needs their attention.

A clear report answers those questions without a phone call. Photos show the condition of the home. A short video can show what a photo cannot: water that is still dripping, a pump that is running, or a door that no longer closes properly.

How It Works

From the Property to the Homeowner

Everything a Home Visit report needs, built into HWIT Fundamentals.

📋

Create Home Visit Reports

Each visit starts from a report template built for that property, service level, or customer, so the right questions are always in front of you.

📷

Add Photos

Document property conditions on every visit, not just when something is wrong, and build a visual record of the home over time.

🎥

Add Videos

Record a short video in the mobile app or choose one from your device to demonstrate an issue or show equipment running. In the web app, add a video from a file.

⚠️

Document Property Issues

Turn findings into Actions for follow-up, assign them to your team or a service provider, and keep the client informed.

🛠️

Customize Report Templates

Unlimited checklists tailored to each property type, customer preference, or service level, with the questions and answers your business uses.

✨

AI-Assisted Reporting

Describe the visit in your own words and AI* proposes the checklist answers for you to review, so routine reports are finished in seconds.

📨

Share With Homeowners

Completed reports go to your client by email, text, or the HWIT Access app. Photos appear in the report and videos play from it.

📵

Offline-First Field Work

Complete the Home Visit without a signal. Photos and videos are kept on the device and upload automatically when a connection returns.

📁

Keep Supporting Documents

Store manuals, warranties, invoices, and quotes as file attachments on the property, its Home Assets, and follow-up Actions.

* AI report generation requires an online connection.

When a Video Tells a Better Story

Photos remain the backbone of a good report. Video earns its place when something is moving, making a sound, or easier to understand in sequence:

  • Leaks. Show whether water is actively dripping or the stain is old and dry.
  • Equipment operation. Show the pool pump, sump pump, or air handler running normally, or not.
  • Unusual sounds. Let the homeowner hear the rattle, alarm chirp, or grinding noise for themselves.
  • Property damage. Walk through storm or water damage so the extent is clear to the owner and their insurer.

The result is fewer follow-up questions, faster decisions from homeowners, and a better record if you ever need to show what you found and when.

FAQ

Reporting Questions

Can home watch reports include videos?
Yes. Home Watch IT supports photos and short videos directly in Home Visit reports, so you can document property conditions and show homeowners exactly what was observed. Clients see the photos and can play the videos from the report they receive.
Can I attach documents or other files?
Home Visit reports hold photos and videos. Supporting documents such as manuals, warranties, invoices, and contractor quotes are stored as file attachments on the property record, on its Home Assets, and on follow-up Actions, so they stay with the property alongside its reports.
Does Home Watch IT support AI-assisted reporting?
Yes. Describe the visit in your own words, spoken or typed, and AI proposes answers for the report checklist for you to review before completing the report. The AI works from what you tell it. It does not analyze photos or videos. AI assistance requires an online connection.
Can I take photos and videos without a signal?
Yes. In the mobile app, photos and videos captured without a signal are kept on the device and upload automatically when a connection returns, along with the rest of the report.
